Fiji Republic of the Fiji Islands – South African High Commission

Diplomatic relations were established on 7 November 1994. The South African High Commissioner in Canberra is accredited to Fiji and is presently High Commissioner, HE ZT Magugu. Fiji is an active member of the United Nations and is a regular contributor to UN peacekeeping forces, as well as a member of the Commonwealth, G77, International Olympics Committee and LOME and a participant in the Cairns Group. Fiji land area comprises more than 300 islands and covers some 18 272 sq km with an estimated population of around 775 077.
